Scarlett Johansson replaced with Scarlett Johansson robot in upcoming film
HOLLYWOOD, CA – Producers of the upcoming adaptation of the Japanese anime “Ghost In The Shell” have released an image of their newest casting choice for their film: a perfect robotic duplicate of actress Scarlett Johansson. The films former lead Scarlett Johansson was replaced this week, seemingly in response to the strong internet backlash to the decision to cast her as the cybernetic soldier Motoko Kusanagi. “We heard the fans,” director Rupert Sanders said in a statement on the movie’s Facebook page. “We heard them loud and clear. They were worried that we had overlooked a major, important detail of the character and I agreed. Major Kusanagi is a cyborg in the anime and manga, so we made the decision to recast Scarlett with an android replica to stay closer to that source material.” The film’s producers have high hopes for the new actress, and eagerly await the fan’s response to the new cast member joining the film.
